ADIPEC 2019

Last week saw over 2000 of the industry’s leading companies gather in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre ADIPEC 2019. With around 150,000 attendees, our team from around the world had an exciting week meeting you all and discussing what we know best – metering flare gas!

Julian and Kevin were there representing our UK office and Radek flew over from Poland. Azzumar popped over from our Malaysia office, and Sunil was our local, travelling the short journey from Dubai.

The Fluenta team had a brilliant time meeting you all and answering your questions, whether about flare gas or the industry in general.

We also had our demo meter up and running. This gave visitors the chance to see our FGM 160 meter and transducers in action!

The UAE is one of several countries who have reduced flaring over the past decade. Regulations include guidelines to recover and reuse excess gas where possible and to flare only when necessary.

In fact, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has successfully reduced flaring by 57% in the last decade and is actively working towards a zero-flaring policy. The UAE currently require flare gas meters to measure with 5% accuracy. The Fluenta FGM 160 meter can measure with accuracies as low as ±1%.
