Meet our Sales Director: Azzumar Razali

As Sales Director, Asia Pacific, Azzumar runs our Kuala Lumpur office and is in charge of building our customer base in Asia. In this Employee Spotlight, we catch up with Azzumar and discuss his time at Fluenta!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background

I am an Electrical Engineering graduate. I went through an action-packed journey transitioning from offshore engineering to sales profession. I have a wide range of experience in working with local and international clients, engaging various characters towards business goals and results.

I am a father of 3, citizen of the world, travel freak and music enthusiast. I am definitely the one to fill the glass of water when there is a debate on whether it is half empty or half full!

How long have you been working at Fluenta and what is your role?

I have been with Fluenta for a great 1.5 years now. Currently, I am looking after Fluenta’s business in Asia as Sales Director, Asia Pacific

What does your ‘average’ day at work look like?

“The early bird gets the worm”. Rise before 6:00 am, hit the gym, coffee and start to crank the numbers by 8:00am. 70% of the time on business travel, meeting up with customers around Asia Pacific region.

What are you most proud of achieving during your time at Fluenta? What are you most looking forward to?

November 2018 – Together with the leadership team, I established Fluenta’s regional office in Kuala Lumpur. This is now a successful addition to Fluenta’s growing offering.

I am looking forward to growing the team, regionalizing them while expanding our footprint to different parts of Asia.

What do you predict for the future of Oil & Gas technology?

Oil and gas technology has evolved rapidly since my first exposure to the industry 14 years ago. I have seen Automation and Intelligence Process replacing the conventional, manual and routine tasks. Unmanned and Wireless Technology would be the future

What advice do you have for newcomers to the Oil & Gas industry?

Discover your interest, learn the jargon and get connected. Networking is the key, professionally or socially.
